S.O.B. welcomes new drummer
George Vacheresse. George V. will make his debut with S.O.B. on Aug. 26th, at
The Broadview Club in Weirton, WV. The band has been putting the finishing
touches on their cover show and getting ready to put together some originals for
a CD.
S.O.B. wants to wish Joe DeStefano (Jose Cuervo) the best of luck, and in life
we will miss our brother in rock.
Mongo Huey also has a new drummer starting this week, it's none other then (Jose
Cuervo) - Joe DeStefano. Funny how this topsy-turvy world of rock goes. We
know it's going to be great those Boyz and Girl got themselves a great drummer.
We are looking forward to rockin' with them.
Goodbye to Jack (Animal) Robinson, the drummer for Mongo Huey. Jack came back
into the fold to help out when their previous drummer was injured in a car
accident. Jack is looking forward to his next endeavor in music and we here at
S.O.B. say good job Jack, keep thumping those tubs !!! You can see Jack play his
last gig with Mongo Huey this Sat. at The Broadview Club.
Still no indication who will be the opening act for Judas Priest at the Post
Gazette Pavilion, on Sep. 24th. Remember this is a pavilion only show no lawn
seats. So get them tickets while you can.

George's News
Spent 6/11 Sat. in the Big Apple roaming
around town with Roadie1 taking in the sights. A lot of things to see and we saw
a lot of them in one day. We did manage to find Manny's Music and were amazed at
the history of the place plastered on their walls in the form of autographed
glossy's. It seemed like everyone who was anyone was there at one time or
another. They had some really cool gear but we spent more time checkin out the
walls. Covered a lot of miles on foot and had a great time but I don't think I
could live there.
Also on July the 3rd I will be rock'n in the park at about 7 ish in the middle
of Wellsburg (18th St.) with Rhythm and Blues Band Reffugee, it's great time.
Food and beverages will be available and the event keeps getting larger every
year. Support live music and check it out, Rock out man!

Bill, Russ and I went to the
Steve Vai concert Tue. night and I think I can speak for all of us, were blown
away. Eric Sardinas, a slide guitar blues playing frontal assault with an
electric dobro jacked into a Rivera halfstack Wild Man opened the show. Very
entertaining, even spent time in the balcony jamming on a solo, what a trip!
However when Vai came out with Bill Sheahan and Tony Macalpine the guitar
wizardry was at a level which I can hardly describe, I think you must see it to
believe it. I'm a better musician just for having seen it. Steve covers every
technique so well, it definitely makes him one of the best. The Rex was a very
small place and there wasn't a bad spot in the place.
Up-close and personal, the only way to see a show in my opinion. Had a Blast!

TRIBUTE
On, 3/26/05, Bart DeStefano passed away. He is my father and best
friend. He is also one of my biggest fans. He was at most of my gigs faithfully
and would sometimes get up with the band and play some percussion. He was 83
years old. Those of you that knew him, know what a great human being he was. He
owned DeStefano's Pizza for 41 years and has touched alot of people. A legacy
has come to an end. This is not meant to bring anyone down. This is meant as a
tribute to my best friend, respect for my father, and a reminder to all of us.
Whether it's a wife, husband, mom, dad, kids, relatives or a friend, embrace
them. And you to, will be as wealthy as I am. To my father, I will miss you
deeply.
love, your son,
Joseph DeStefano
